This drawing was commissioned by a member of this church. It is an imposing edifice, and its steeple can be seen for miles around. Besides producing a respectable rendering of the building, I wanted to emphasize the "natural" coexistence that some buildings have in their surroundings. The tall pine tree rising up with the steeple helped achieve that and added some balance to the picture.
