The dress is bright purple with white polkadots. The model is my wife who is the subject of several of my drawings.

To answer the question most often asked about this drawing: No, she didn't have to sit in that position until the drawing was finished.
Finally, I wanted to have some fun with the title. I can't imagine anyone enjoying thoughtful contemplation while squatting barefooted on a rock in that pose.
